About the role
Due to an internal promotion, we have a new opportunity for an Assistant Category Manager in our awesome Merchandise team!
Working with a wide range of stakeholders and suppliers, you will be responsible for the pet and baby categories across our retail banners (PAKânSAVE, New World and Four Square).
Youâll own and actively design strategies that drive growth across your assigned categories - planning, organising and operating the category to meet financial targets. You will set priorities that align with the strategy and monitor service levels and results to ensure continued growth and market share.
This role is fast paced with tons of variety and the opportunity to learn from an experienced Category Manager!
About you
Commercially astute and with an understanding of market trends and influences, youâll be someone who loves numbers and can turn those into a meaningful story.
Ideally from a category background, youâll be strong at business analysis, technically savvy, naturally curious and will be a confident communicator, comfortable negotiating win/win solutions. Youâll also understand market trends, haveB2B experience and be self-motivated, organised and a natural problem solver.
